Renewable energy developments are increasingly popular with companies looking to improve their green credentials and environmental politics favouring investment in this sector. AJF is based in the Humber region currently the centre for UK wind power developments with several operational and planned wind farms. Within this region there now numerous companies dedicated to this sector: and AJF can help with all areas of the logistics supply chain.

Humber Gateway Wind Farm. Became operational in 2015 and consists of 73 three mega watt wind turbines. The wind farm is located off the coast near Spurn Point in the North Sea
Hornsea Wind Farm. This one of the largest wind farms with planning for a total output of the project of six gigawatts. The project is so large that it has been divided into 4 individual projects. With Hornsea Project 1 starting to come on line in 2019. There will be over 171 turbines in this part of the wind farm. The second project will involve installation of 174 wind turbines and once all installed will be at the moment the biggest in the world offshore wind farm. The entire project due to its size is not expected all of the projects to be completed until 2025
Westermost Rough Wind Farm is located off the coast of the Withernsea in the North Sea and operated by Ørsted. This wind farm became operational in 2015 with a total of 35 turbines generating in normal conditions 210 Mega Watts.
Lynn and Innder Dowsing Wind Farms is one of the oldest operating offshore wind farms commencing operations in 2009. Located in the North Sea off the entrance to The Wash. This wind farm has a total of 54 wind turbines.
The Lincs Wind Farm located off the shore from Skegness in the North Sea commenced operations in September 2013.

There are many industries now which have set up to service the onshore and offshore wind farm in this region.

Ships Agency. We cover all the ports in the River Humber, including Hull, Grimsby and Immingham. AJF also covers Boston, Teesport and Grangemouth. As expected of any ships agency, we operate 24 hours / 365 days a year. We can arrange ship crew changes, repairs and ships stores as required.
Inspection Services. If you required a independent representative to oversee the loading or discharging of cargo from vessels, or where damage has occurred we can represent you, supply photos of cargo and full inspection reports.
Storage. AJF has there own warehouse located in Immingham ideal to serve the Ports of Grimsby, Immingham and Hull. We offer short term and long term storage for both palletised and non palletised
Local Distribution. We can offer a 24 hour collection service for all ports around the Humber and 24 hour delivery service for goods stored in our warehouse or other local warehouse
Order Fulfilment. For goods stored in our warehouse we can arrange pallet re-working, order picking and kit building services.
Customs Clearances. AJF has its own badges for Humber Ports. We can offer out of hour customs clearance services for any shipment that urgently needs to be imported or exported
Airfreight Services. For urgent goods including spare parts we have airfreight services from all areas of the world to East Midlands, Doncaster and Humberside airport.
