Temperature controlled containers (reefers) and trailers are suitable to suit a range of products:
We have compiled a list to give some general guidance on shipping temperature controlled products.
Shipper’s and consignees should know that cargoes are not all carried at the same temperature and should be aware of the risk of temperature gradients through out a container. When a shipper loads a container they should ensure the product is loaded in such a way to avoid the risk of certain areas having the temperature maintained at the correct temperature.
Shippers booking temperature controlled shipments should be aware that the shipping lines are contracted to maintain the temperature laid out in the bill of lading instructions. Please note the contracted temperature is of the container and not of the actual product temperature.
